Section 48 Framework – Seeking Christ at the Centre

Following-on from a successful pilot in the Spring of 2014 the Diocesan Education Service has rolled out the new Inspection Framework for our schools.

In addition to inspections carried out by Ofsted, each school is inspected by the Diocesan Education Service on a regular basis. Inspectors are drawn from experienced Head Teachers who follow guidelines drawn from significant teaching documents of the Church. Schools prepare for inspection by reflecting on their commitment to the Catholic vision of education and the way they live out the mission entrusted to them by the Church.

The Diocese Education Service sees these inspections as a tool to to assist schools to discover and to confirm the presence of Christ at the centre of all they do.
