Board of Education launch consultation on School’s Chaplaincy

On the Solemnity of the Epiphany the Board of Education and Formation launched a diocesan-wide consultation on chaplaincy provision in our secondary schools, academies and colleges. The Board has invited schools to consider again this important apostolate and be involved in a period of reflection on the theme of ‘Good Chaplaincy.’ It is hoped that this will further develop the necessary  conditions for this ministry to thrive. Chaplains meet regularly in the diocese to reflect on their work and their apostolate is very much appreciated and ‘a particular strength’ of our schools.
