leader committed to championing Catholic education in our Diocese.
We are looking for a Catholic faith-filled person to undertake this role with creativity
and enthusiasm. The post-holder will have a strong background in Catholic education
and use this to inspire teachers, school leaders and governors and all who serve our
The Diocese serves the Catholic community from the River Ribble to the Scottish
Borders and works with three local authorities.
Based in Lancaster, the post is a 0.8 FTE based on a core 35-hour week, with the
expectation of some evening and weekend work. The salary is £40,987 to £45,220
depending on experience. Start date: 20th April Closing date for applications Friday 1st

Applicants are required to be a practising Catholic in good standing with the Catholic
Church and have a full UK driving license and own vehicle appropriately insured. The
post involves travelling across the Diocese. This role is also subject to a DBS check.
The successful candidate will have:
– Experience working in a leadership role in Catholic education
– Excellent communication skills
– Able to work in a team
– Experience of teaching religious education and leading acts of worship in a Catholic
– Knowledge of working in the environment of the Catholic Church
